Since switching to Chase my deposits post the same day and my direct deposits arrive a day or two earlier. Why mess with scrubs like Ally. I have been with Ally for about 4 years and have always enjoyed the no nonsense service — why would you force us to constantly upgrade the App and now it does not work AT ALL! I no longer have access to my accounts including brokerage since the App obviously has an upgrade glitch and will not allow for the upgrade but to not allow me to use the original App and no longer have access to my account through my phone — I am now looking to move accounts.

This is not the banking service I signed up. It would be really cool if ally could incorporate quickview as a feature. My friend referred me to Ally bank, he is been using it for last 10 years.

Absolutely no regrets, amazing bank and a seamlessly easy app. There is no way to transfer money out of Ally Bank to your external bank account on mobile.

The Ally app has been great for a while, and new functionality is continually added like TouchID, Zelle, editing Account nicknames. I really like this app! Ally never really did wrong by me. I switched to Ally from Simple for better savings rates, but any additional interest, was made up for by Allys fees, and they refused to waive.

Not much separating Ally from Wells Fargo. Switch to Simple if you want to avoid fees altogether. They offer managed portfolios that loose money at double the rate of every single US index. Investments that are designed to fail. Of course they never loose. Makes it a worthless app in my opinion. Inconvenient, to say the least, since it has no branches. If you use this app to trade it generally gets the job. Unfortunately the latest update makes trading options difficult because if you scroll up or down on the options chain within a second or two it scrolls you back to the current strike.

I now have to find prices elsewhere and manually I put trades without utilizing the options chain. Essentially unless you are buying at strike the options chain screen is now impossible to use. Reached out to support and have been getting a run around with no action. Might be time to switch. Miss the trade king days. Generally been pretty high on this app before this latest update.

The Ally snapshot view in the app compared to Cap One is nice as it shows total balance of all accounts. However, it currently does not show our Cash Back visa balance in snapshot view or ability to mange the cash back visa via mobile app.

Although maybe competitors view this as a security risk Plus with Cap One I can easily mange all my accounts and credit card via the same mobile app. I also really like the fact that when I use my Cap one card anywhere, I get a notification usually before I even get my card back in my wallet. My only complaint is they put debits in red. Every time I look at my account I have a panic attack thinking it’s overdrawn. Until this app stops giving me a heart attack every time it’s two stars.

Am directed to update the app, but it fails to update. Am hoping they will see. In the meantime, I am unable to use the mobile app. I like Ally bank very. Update: finally able to upgrade after upgrading to latest iOS. Ally has great customer service. My only complaint is length of time it takes deposits to clear. I just Ally just for banking with checking and savings account. I think the app is good for what I use it.

How in-convenient can an online only banking platform be?! Besides having to continuously update app the security verification is another PiA, another time example of honest consumers being hassled by nefarious criminals. By far, this is one of the worst bank apps I have had to date. Mobile deposits do not post in a timely fashion. The automated messaging system provides little to no assistance and the timing of the expected phone waits posted on the app are entirely off. Will be switching banks to establish a more reliable bank service!

This is a good app. Bill pay should also be featured vs. Have you ever known someone? I mean really known. Been able to tell how they were feeling with the slightest look, nervous tick, or eye movement? I sure have, and boy let me tell you, the Ally Mobile app really helps with all my banking needs.

Just expected it to pick up a loaf of bread! Good banking app. However there is an issue when using larger fonts. When iPhone is set to use larger fonts the app does not display correctly. Especially on the view account details page. Please fix. While trying to turn on Card Controls in a foreign country I was forced to upgrade the App.

No way to exit. I was at An ATM and my upgrade was over cellular. I like the ability to control use, limits, and locations. No matter how exciting the new features may be. No effort on my end Plus I have people write checks to me all the time and they are really easy to deposit. Totally recommend!

I must say the in-app ads for cross-selling the Ally credit card are pretty tasteless. They are huge and take up prominent space above your account information. I contacted customer support and they said there is no way to limit or modify this which is quite disappointing. Best choice I made re: banking was joining Ally 6plus years ago.

In app experience is flawless and as easy as I could have expected. Additionally a running balance would be nice too on the app version. Otherwise, Ally is knocking it out of the park with their products and service. We are continuing to migrate accounts to them whenever possible. Keep up the good work!

This is insane!!! Nice, forced to re-enroll again in Touch-ID And it gets better when re-enrolling Please try again later. Every time you want to do something fast and light you get stone walked into the another forced update. At least provide a clear option to turn it off. If you like calling your bank on a daily basis then by all means open an account. Had to call to log in even after answering questions correctly. Now they inform me they will make a note to attempt to have a dept reopen my account NOPE, keep it closed.

And the transfer money is now stuck in limbo. TLDR; there are much more organized banks out .
